Parking of GA aircrafts
Avinor has an automatic invoicing system for GA parking. The system registers aircraft registration, arrival time, off-block time and MTOM. GA aircraft with MTOM 2730 kg or below are exempt from the parking charges.
GA aircraft with MTOM over 2730 kg are subject to parking charges. A monthly invoice for parking charges is automatically sent to the aircraft owner.
Owners of GA aircraft with MTOM over 2730 kg holding individual agreements regarding parking arrangements must register their aircraft with the local airport administration to avoid charges.
Other charges for use of the airport will be charged separately.
The charge is based on weight. New price from 1 January 2023 is 17.6 NOK per 1000 kg per hour. The charge is levied as of the third hour the aircraft is parked. However, if the parking exceeds two hours, the charge is reciprocal for the first two hours as well. Agreements for long-time parking can be arranged with the local airport administration.
The minimum charge from 1 January 2023 is 140 NOK, whereas the maximum charge for the first 24 hours is 5486 NOK and 2225 NOK per day for the following days. All prices include VAT.
Take- off charges for General aviation is calculated according to the Regulations relating to charges for use of airports operated by Avinor AS (charges regulation). Airport charges for single take-off, weekly season card and yearly card will be determined as the product of the full take-off charge for commercial flights and factors provided in the charge’s regulations.
Example:
An aircraft with MTOM 5000 kg is parked three hours. Since the two first hours then become chargeable, the charge is calculated as follows:
5000 kg at 17.6 NOK/1000 kg/hour x 3 hours = 17.6 NOK x 5 x 3 = 264 NOK. Please check our web page our AIC publications for further information.
Avinor has introduced a parking charge for cargo aircrafts at Avinor's airports with effect from 1 February 2023. Cargo aircraft with MTOM over 2730 kg are subject to parking charges. Owners of cargo aircraft with MTOM over 2730 kg holding individual agreements regarding parking arrangements must register their aircraft with the local airport administration to avoid charges. Other charges for use of the airport will be charged separately.
Parking of cargo aircrafts
For parking of cargo aircrafts, a parking charge will be introduced beyond 2 hours:
- NOK 4 per hour per 1000 kg.
- Minimum invoicing amount NOK 135.
- Maximum NOK 5,300 per day.
All prices include VAT as set in Norway. Parking time of less than 2 hours will still be exempt from parking charges. The parking charge is calculated from the third hour.
For February 2023, parking time was calculated as the difference between landing and arrival time. From and including March 2023, Avinor will use on-block and off-block times as basis for calculating parking time. This means, in short, that the starting point for parking fees is the actual time for cargo aircraft in the stand area, and that taxiing time and similar will no longer constitute a basis for parking fees. If the on-block and off-block times are not available in Avinor's system, Avinor will assume that parking time corresponds to the difference between landing and arrival times minus a standardized time period of 15 Minutes. Airlines are encouraged to ensure that on-block and off-block times are communicated to Avinor, in order to contribute to more correct parking charges.
The obligation to pay a charge is in accordance with the Norwegian law §16 of the Regulations on Charges for the use of airports operated by Avinor AS. Charge invoicing will be monthly and will be sent after the end of parking. Avinor has an automatic invoicing system for cargo aircraft parking - the system registers aircraft registration, arrival time, off-block time and MTOM. Cargo aircraft with MTOM 2730 kg or below are exempt from the parking charges.
