Noise during the construction phase
As a part of the ongoing work, a great deal of blasting will be carried out.
If you want to receive advance warning of blasting, it is possible to receive an SMS notification. You will receive a text message for each salvo.
To sign up for blasting alerts:
To receive SMS alerts from PK Strøm, you can send a message to the rock blasting manager at Nitrex, Ronny Frammarsvik. Telephone: +47 952 75 790. Include your name and phone number in the message. You will then receive an alert in advance of the blasting. (Applies to contract 356 Construction roads).
You can also sign up for blasting alerts for discharge pipes. Register through the construction manager for T. Løkke, K190355, Dag Hjalmar Aaknes, tel. +47 911 83 442. (Applies to contract 355 Discharge pipes).
Noise limits
During construction, we will follow the requirements for discharge permits under the Pollution Control Act issued by County Governor in Nordland.
The noise shall not exceed the limit values provided in this table:

Deviations
There may be deviations from the noise burden limit values for short periods. Deviations from the limit values are not permitted at night, on weekends or public holidays.
Noise during operations
A study was carried out on noise during operations at an early stage in the development of the airport in 2008. The document is an open SINTEF document, which you can download here:

The document is still valid, though it will be updated if, during the design phase and planning for future traffic at the airport, conditions change significantly in relation to this.
