Oslo

Oslo Airport, Gardermoen is Norway’s main airport. An airport for all Norway and an important hub for Norwegians travelling within Norway and out into the world, and the gateway to Norwegian destinations for foreign passengers.

Oslo Airport is not only the gateway to the rest of Norway, through the profits of its commercial operations, it is also the largest contributor to financing aviation in Norway and the development of Avinor’s 44 airports. The Norwegian model is dependent on Avinor’s aviation network, which provides people with equal opportunities to live, work and travel how they want to.

With around 30 million annual passengers, the airport is on the same level as other main Scandinavian airports. The strong route network is proof that the airport connects Norway and imagenh63.pngNorway to the world.

Oslo

Oslo has a rich history and is a young and vibrant metropolis, filled with culture and green spaces in the city centre. Its goal is to be the world’s best compact city with good infrastructure and everything close-by. Oslo has a large range of restaurants, bars and cafes, and far greater cultural diversity and activity than its size would suggest. The Royal Palace, the Munch Museum, the Norsk Folkemuseum on Bygdøy and the Opera House are just some of the attractions Norwegians and foreigners come to visit.

Each year, almost 5,000 live performances are held in Oslo, more than double the amount of Stockholm or Copenhagen. We want passengers to get a feel for everything on offer in the capital as soon as they arrive at the airport. When you arrive at Oslo Airport, we can offer you an urban metropolis filled with culture, culinary delights and a proximity to nature. However, all of Norway is also on offer with its wild and beautiful nature, the Northern Lights, the midnight sun, seafood, culinary traditions and all the Norwegian character found in each region.

Norway is diverse and unique – from its nature to it architecture, industries, design, art, culture, activities, products, food and drink. This is what we want our passengers to experience at Oslo Airport.
