Electric car - charging, price and payment

We reserve the right to adjust these terms if necessary. The terms that applied previously may be changed next time, so familiarize yourself with the terms each time. Last updated June 2023.

CHARGING ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Charging stations are installed at several of Avinor's airports in designated parking areas in accordance with the new parking regulations. Parking spaces for electric vehicle charging are reserved for cars that are connected to a charging station. To use a charging space, the car must be connected to the charging station, and a charging session must be started.

Unfortunately, you cannot reserve a charging space for electric vehicles.
Electric vehicle charging at Avinor's airports is provided by the charging company Mer. The charging stations have a charging speed of up to 22kW and use a type 2 cable. Note that you must bring your own type 2 cable.

Projects are also underway for rapid charging stations at some of Avinor's airports. More information on this will follow.

Prices

Charging prices follow Mer's currently applicable rates at all times. See an overview of current charging prices here: https://no.mer.eco/ladenettverk/priser

How do I charge?
Charging is initiated and stopped with a Mer charging tag, Vipps via QR code at the charging station, or in the Mer Connect charging app.

First-time preparations:
Download the Mer Connect app for free in the App Store or Google Play. Set up a user in the app if you haven't already.

You can order a Mer charging tag in advance. You do this in the Mer app or in Mer Hub, here: https://no.mer.eco/ladenettverk/kundeportal/

You can also charge with Vipps. This does not require downloading an app or a registered customer relationship with Mer.

How to charge your car:
Insert your charging cable into the car and charger and start charging with the app/tag/Vipps.

You will be charged per kWh, and the power supply continues until the car is fully charged or until the charging is stopped with the app/tag/Vipps.
First remove the charging cable from the car's port, then from the charging station.

Depending on the type of car, you may have to unlock it with the car key first.

Parking Fee
The parking fee is additional to the charging. The parking fee should be paid as you otherwise pay for parking at the particular airport and parking area.
Note: Parking at P3-Electric Car has a separate entrance and starts and stops automatically as cameras read the car's registration number in and out of the parking area.
If you are unfamiliar with how to pay the parking fee, you can find information and prices at avinor.no.
