Robotized baggage handling (Roba) is funded by the Norwegian research council. The project is aimed at identifying gripper technology, integration with autonomous indoor transport units and indoor storage for baggage load devices.

Per January 2021 the project status is as follows:
- Evaluating robotic gripper, baggage recognition and load-cell simulation.
- Evaluating AGV for candidates for prototype.
- Clarifying 5G requirements.
- Target for early demonstrator of robotic gripping and simulated load cell in May 2021.
