Avinor airports pushing 50 million passengers

Nearly five million passengers travelled through Avinor’s 45 airports in September, boosting the year-to-date total to 40 million passengers as of the end of October. Will the 50 million milestone be reached this year as well?

If Avinor passes the 50 million passenger limit, it would be for the second year in a row. The Avinor network has had a steady 4 percent annual growth rate recently, and has now passed 40 million passengers so far, as of October 31st, 2017. In the same time span, our main hub Oslo Airport has achieved a 10% increase in international passengers.

There’s hope for more to come. With the upcoming announcement of 20 new routes and expanded capacity on 41 existing routes, we hope to welcome even more passengers to Norway in 2018.
