Tax refund

You can get a refund of the VAT on goods purchased in stores affiliated with Global Blue or Planet if you reside outside Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.

If you have made purchases in affiliated stores in Norway and wish to get a refund on the value-added tax (VAT), you can do this through private companies such as Global Blue or Planet.

    Here’s how it works:

    • Purchase goods for over 315 NOK in an affiliated store.
    • Request a tax-free check or form in the store before heading to the airport.
    • Fill out the necessary information in the form, such as name, address, passport number, and credit card details.
    • Make sure goods to be sent with luggage are presented to customs before check-in.
    • At the airport, go to a refund kiosk or desk to have the form stamped by customs.
    • Once the form is confirmed, the refund will be transferred to your credit card.

    Important to remember:

    • Goods must be exported within 30 days from the purchase date.
    • Remember to fill out all Global Blue Tax Free and Planet forms with correct information before you arrive at the airport.
    • Ticket, passport, and goods are checked before you receive the verification stamp.
    • Refunds may take up to a few weeks to be credited to your account.

Visit the company’s website for full information on conditions/terms Global Blue and Planet.

    Do it yourself:

Follow the guidance on the Customs Agency's website https://www.toll.no/no/turist/tax-free/

The Customs Agency is not the one refunding the value-added tax.
